Liz + Matt: La Estancia Hotel & Spa, La Jolla
You know the saying “save the best for last”? Well we like to think this rings true with Liz and Matt’s beautiful December wedding, our final one of 2011. The ceremony and reception were held at the gorgeous La Estancia Hotel & Spa in dreamy La Jolla. With her white, shimmering gown and golden curls, Liz looked like a princess straight out of a fairy tail-so beautiful! And Matt looked very handsome–seriously such a beautiful couple. After their heartwarming ceremony, guests partied and danced the night away all in celebration of the new Mr. & Mrs.! Kevin had an awesome, awesome time meeting their friends and family and being able to be part of such a lovely and joyous day. We are SO excited to share Liz and Matt’s beautiful day with you all and hope you enjoy it!
Leah + Drew: Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort, Carlsbad
Kevin and I are so happy to share our first blog of 2012 with some pics from Leah and Drew’s beautiful beach-side wedding!! It couldn’t have been a prettier day to get married! The sun was out, the sky was blue, and the bride looked ever so lovely in her gorgeous lace dress. The ceremony was held at the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort, a very charming European style hotel with a fantastic view of the Pacific. Family and friends gathered to witness and celebrate the love Leah and Drew have for one another and it was quite moving. We are so excited for them and wish them a marriage filled with many, many days just as joyous as their wedding day. Enjoy!
Erin + Elliott: Naval Base, Point Loma
It is with much excitement that we present the trailer of Erin and Elliot’s wedding day! Kevin had a wonderful time with the beautiful couple (seriously they could be models, right?!) on their big day. The ceremony and reception were held at the Oceanview Room located at the Naval Base in Point Loma. Their guests had a blast, dancing the night away all in celebration of the love Erin and Elliott have for one another. And have you ever seen a wedding trailer with so many handsome men in uniform? PartnerCon 2011: Hard Rock Hotel, San Diego
In between shooting weddings, editing, and meeting with amazing couples planning their big days, I was lucky enough to attend ParterCon 2011, a workshop and conference for wedding photographers. Lucky, mainly because the conference was in BEA-U-TI-FUL San Diego. I attended some awesomely informative talks, my favorite being Lawrence Chan’s presentation on branding. REALLY. COOL. STUFF. Another highlight was seeing epic, genius photographer Joe McNally present a slideshow of his amazing images and sharing the behind-the-scences stories of each image. Truly an unforgettable experience.
The final highlight of the conference was getting to participate in a workshop led by uber-talented photographer Samuel Lippke. We shot a super-duper cute couple around Downtown and had a blast seeing how another photographer interprets location, lighting, and composition. Below are a couple of pics I took that I’d like to share. Garrett and Megan were an AWESOME model couple, and as you can see, it was a really fun group of us participating in the workshop. Silvia + Michael David: Ramsey’s at the Club, Toluca Lake
It is with much excitement and happiness that we share some of Silvia and Michael David’s wedding pics! If you follow our blog, you know that this couple is extra special because Michael is our dear cousin. And now it’s extra, EXTRA special now that Silvia is our cousin too!
Before the ceremony, we met up with the newlyweds at the city hall in picturesque Pasadena. We had so much fun in the brief time we had at the city hall, that we couldn’t wait for the ceremony and reception to start!! The ceremony and reception were held at the Ramsey’s at the Club, a very elegant and intimate gem of a venue in Toluca Lake.
Family and friends all had a wonderful time celebrating Silvia and Michael’s love and commitment. The reception was SO much fun with tons of dancing, delicious food, and the SweetBooth! We are thrilled we were able to be a part of it! We wish Silvia and Michael David a beautiful life as husband and wife!! Enjoy!!

Debon + Ryan
Kevin and I are SO SO happy to present some photos from Debon and Ryan’s beautiful wedding celebration! I met up with the beautiful bride at the Palomar Hotel (formerly the Se Hotel), in Downtown San Diego, and had the best time meeting Debon’s family and spending some one on one time with her dress! LOL! No seriously her dress was STUNNING. For fans of ‘Mad Men’, it’s a gown Joan Holloway would totally saunter away in; gorgeous! Kevin spent some time with Ryan and his family, including his best man, Kevin (gotta love Kevins!), pictured below. The ceremony was held at the County Administrative Building and followed by a lovely dinner at the delicious Italian restaurant, Cucina Urbana. We also had the pleasure of joining more family and friends for a super fun afternoon reception at the Firehouse Restaurant in Pacific Beach a few days after the ceremony. It was an awesome gathering of loved ones, all their to honor Debon and Ryan’s love and commitment. In short, it was a blast and we are thrilled we were able to be a part of it! We wish Debon and Ryan a beautiful life as husband and wife!! Enjoy!!
