Angela & Derrick Get Married
Love. Family. Friendship. Tradition. All these words come to mind when I think back at the amazing time we had documenting the wedding of Angela and Derrick. Kevin and I met Angela and Derrick back in January, for their romantic ice skating engagement shoot in Coronado. I remember that after the shoot, Kevin and I couldn’t stop chatting about how cool and sweet and awesome they were! So, needless to say, it was a great honor to be a part of their unforgettable day.
The ceremony was held at the Holy Trinity Church in El Cajon. Beautiful church, right? After the ceremony, we took a festive party bus over to Balboa Park. There, we took group shots with the super fun groomsmen and bridesmaids, as well as photos of the Mr. and Mrs. at the Japanese Friendship Garden. I absolutely love these shots!
La fiesta was waiting for us at San Dieguito Park in Solana Beach, where family and friends dined on delicious Peruvian food and were serenaded by an awesome Mariachi band. And of course, everyone got emotional watching the newlyweds dance—a perfect end to such a memorable day. Best wishes to Angela and Derrick!

Great shots. Love the one at the ceremony where everyone looks small. How do you do that? Nice colors too.
We do that with a special lens called a Tilt-Shift lens. Both Canon & Nikon make several different models.
